The Jubilee Furniture Company is a large used furniture resale store that generates income after expenses to support the ministries of OCM, Inc. It also serves as the platform for OCM’s employment training program for young adults, providing paid work experience for participants.

Job Responsibilities:
The Assistant Store Manager is a part of the sales floor leadership team and reports to the Store Manager. Responsibilities include supervising the sales floor and providing excellent customer service during shifts when the Store Manager is not present and supervising the customer service and cashier functions when the Front Desk Customer Service Assistant Manager is not on duty.

Previous experience in retail and management roles. Previous experience supervising youth and/or young adults in a retail, educational setting or social service setting; strong capacity to effectively engage, motivate, teach and develop employment training program participants in the work skills and retail functions of the store. Ability to work actively (standing and walking around the store) during most of a shift and to help move furniture around the store; able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing good customer service and relating well with a variety of people in a culturally diverse environment. A commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith is required.

Part-time at 14-19 hours/week. Additional on-call hours are also available.

Required Hours/Days:
5-8 hours shifts on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9:30 AM and 8:00 PM. Occasional Saturdays from 8:30-5pm. Note: Occasional on-call hours required on Saturdays to provide back-up coverage for Store Manager.

Rate of pay is $15 to $16 per hour based on skills and experience.
