Job Description
Outreach Community Ministries, Inc. (OCM) is a Christian, community service organization seeking to attract and hire a diverse staff of highly competent professional employees.

The Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream  The Outreach Community Center in Carol Stream is a multi-purpose, neighborhood resource center serving a low-income, ethnically diverse  neighborhood. Services include counseling, casework, mentoring,  community development and after-school programs for children and youth.

Job Responsibilities
The Community Service Aide is responsible for assisting with the supervision of junior high students participating in community service projects. Duties include transporting students; implementing center-wide behavioral management philosophy with in the community service component; teaching job readiness classes, aiding students in setting and accomplishing goals at work sites and assisting with program planning and implementation for special events and student field trips. Group size averages between eight and twenty-five students.

Previous group experience with junior high youth required.  Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the needs of students from low-income, highrisk families.  Candidate must also have a sensitivity to and appreciation for diversity in race, ethnicity and culture.  Valid Illinois driver’s license, a good driving record and reliable transportation required.   

Full-time Temporary Summer Employment Staff Training | June 11-15 Program Dates |June 18 – August 10 Program Schedule |Monday-Friday, 8 am-4pm

The hourly rate for this position falls between $10 - $14 per hour based on education, skills and experience skills.
