Full-time IT Administrator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain LAN and back-up system
  • Support in-house computers, peripherals, software and audio visual equipment
  • Work with vendors to facilitate IT projects, purchases and equipment maintenance
  • Support in-house communication, proxy card and security camera systems
  • Promptly address staff and patron IT inquiries  
  • Provide staff and patron training
  • Research and implement new technologies to enhance Library services 
 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Adept at working with servers, switches, firewalls, personal computers, peripherals, Windows operating systems, mobile devices and applications
  • Skilled in repair and maintenance of personal computers and other electronic equipment
  • Familiar with image-based back-up
  • Uses verbal, written and electronic communication effectively
  • Works collaboratively as a member of a team and independently with minimal direction
  • Skilled in vendor relations, including but not limited to technical support, service contract review and negotiation
  • Knowledge of integrated library systems (ILS)
  • Ability to forecast IT needs and costs
 Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related equivalency
  • Five years’ information technology experience with increasing responsibility
  • Microsoft Enterprise experience, Windows 2003R2-2012, hyper-V, 0365, hosted exchange
  • Content Management experience (drupal preferred)
 Hourly Rate/Hours Worked
  • Starting at $24.00/hour, rate dependent upon qualifications
  • Full time, 37.5 hours/week
